A date has been set for the public meeting to look at the future of nuclear power at Dungeness. Shepway Council's Deputy Leader, Rory Love, and MP Damian Collins met Energy Minister Charles Hendry, before Christmas to make the case for Dungeness and try and secure a public meeting.

The Blessing of the Seas

Sunday 09 January, is the Blessing of the Seas at Margate. Greek Orthodox communities around the world hold this ceremony on the Feast of the Epiphany and in Margate it has been held for the last 47 years.

Play for Elham

Sunday 21 November is the official launch of the new playground at Elham.  It looks like the whole village has turned out.  Certainly all the village children appear to be here waiting with surprising patience for the ribbon to be cut.
