Folkestone & Hythe Conservative Women’s Organisation Lunch with Sir Roger Gale MP
The Folkestone & Hythe Conservative Women’s Organisation (CWO) recently held a highly successful lunch, perfectly organised by Carole Waters, with Sir Roger Gale MP as the guest speaker. The event was extremely well attended by members and supporters, who thoroughly enjoyed both Sir Roger’s insightful talk and the excellent lunch.
We were also delighted to welcome Louise Brice, Chairman of the CWO, along with several distinguished guests, including:
- Cllr Jenny Hollingsbee, Folkestone & Hythe District Councillor for North Downs West Ward and Leader of the Conservative Group
- Cllr David Godfrey, Folkestone & Hythe District Councillor for North Downs East Ward and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group
- Cllr Alan Martin, Folkestone & Hythe District Councillor for Walland and Denge Marsh Ward
- Cllr Tony Hills, Folkestone & Hythe District Councillor for Romney Marsh
- Kieran Leigh, Chairman of Folkestone & Hythe Conservative Association and Folkestone Town Councillor
- Sean McKirdy, Deputy Chairman (Political & Campaigning)
- Matthew Houghton, Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising)
Since 1919, the CWO has been at the heart of supporting women into public life. As the oldest affiliated female political organisation in the world, its aims remain steadfast:
- To encourage women to join the Conservative Party and progress within the voluntary party
- To support women standing for elected office at every level, from Councillor to MP
- To listen to and help develop policies that serve the interests of women across the UK
A huge thank you to everyone who attended for making this a truly inspiring and enjoyable event.
