Folkestone & Hythe District Council is inviting you to suggest topics for councillors to investigate over the next year

Folkestone & Hythe District Council is inviting residents to suggest topics for councillors to investigate over the next financial year.

The Council's Overview and Scrutiny Committee reviews decisions made by councillors, looks at the authority's performance, and considers issues affecting the district or its residents.  Its work is planned over a financial year and staff and councillors are now planning the programme for 2019/20 - and they want your input.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee Chairman, Conservative Councillor Peter Gane, said "it was just one of the ways the Council listened to residents and businesses".

Suggestions need not be limited to the Council or its services, but cannot include planning applications, licensing, housing appeals or disciplinary issues. Previous topics have included parking and controlled parking zones, developers' financial contributions and the policy around replacement bins.

To put forward your idea, email committee@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk for a form. The deadline for submissions of completed forms is Friday 22nd March 2019
