Folkestone and Hythe Conservative Association has started selecting candidates for the 2023 local elections! 

On May 13th 2022, the Conservative Party members who live in Hythe and Hythe Rural selected the candidates that they wanted to represent them in the 2023 local elections.

Hythe Ward

Following speeches, a Q&A and a vote, the 2 candidates selected were:

•    Malcolm Dearden
•    John Gabris

Hythe Rural

Following speeches, a Q&A and a vote - 1 candidate was selected:

•    Michael Lyons

Hythe Town Council

On the same evening, the Branch also selected candidates for Hythe Town Council.

Both selection meetings were chaired by Association Officers, Stephen James and Laurie Glover in line with the Party’s constitution. The remaining vacancies will be re-advertised to our approved candidate list.
