Clive Goddard is one of two Conservative Councillors for the Folkestone and Hythe district Council seat in the Walland & Dengemarsh ward (covering Lydd Parish, Old Romney,Brenzett,Brookland,Ivychurch,Snargate and Snave).and elected in May 2007
Clive was born and bred in Lydd, and now runs a construction company in the town. He has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years.
Clive has been a member of F&HDC for close on 19 years and a planning and licensing committee member the same amount of time. Keeping the Romney marsh protected from major development and harming infrastructure is a priority for Clive.
Clive is passionate about Lydd,and the marsh villages he represents and prides himself on standing up for local views. He supports low taxes, Dungeness C, opportunities for young people and is passionate about local business and economic regeneration.
