Jenny Hollingsbee BA, Dipl Sys Prac (Open)
Jenny was a Business Studies and ICT Teacher with responsibilities for Work Experience at The Marsh Academy for over 20 years. She has been involved in Community Activities all her life. In 1980, she was elected to Sellindge Parish Council and in 1995 to Shepway District Council (now Folkestone & Hythe District Council).
In May 2013 she was appointed to the Cabinet with responsibility for Communities, Area Officers, Street Homeless and Health & Wellbeing. She has been a consistent member of the Planning Committee. She has represented the District Council on many external organisations.
Jenny is a founder member of the Sellindge Playing Fields. From 1977-1998 she was Chairman and she is now the President. She was Secretary of the Sellindge Steam Special 1970-2016 and this event benefitted many local and national charities. She is a Community Governor at Sellindge Primary School and a member of the Patience Participation Group at the local surgery.
Jenny is now retired and recently widowed. She has two sons and three grandchildren who, like Jenny, live in the Ward. She currently leads the Conservative Group on FHDC.
